Nicamus is an indie band from Portland Oregon. We are musical soulmates, and each other's emergency contacts. Our music isn't focused on sounding like others or fitting into a specific set of genres, instead we follow a DIY path in the hopes of finding and channeling our artistic visions through music. Nicamus follows a unique creative musical tradition forged by many Pacific Northwest bands and artists before us.
Our music is primarily guitar driven with drums, and recorded with layered vocals. We love swirling, atmospheric, raw, emotional, psychedelic, jangly, poppy, vintage, angular, soaring, grungy, warm, introspective, throbbing, lo-fi, nostalgic, and poetic music that resonates with our hearts and minds.
We love and appreciate many flavors of indie rock/pop, garage rock, lo-fi rock, pysch rock/pop, power pop, punk, post-rock, and indie folk. Creating music together truly inspires us, and we feel so fortunate every day we get to create together.
